Welcome to my site. Read extracts from my book, Riding in Africa as well as my poetry collection, Standing Stones. In addition I have included some essays written for my MFA program in writing at Bennington College. You may also enjoy following the antics of the Niantic River Sculling Warthogs as they row through their mid-life crises. I have posted a few slide shows. One is a ride across the Namib Desert, which Nancy and I took and which is described in part in my book. There is also a show of my shadow boxes, bone collection, Maasai jewelry and the stone circle which my friend John Moore and I put up on our farm, Standing Stones, in Connecticut. With apologies to Out of Africa, I made a short video of our farm. It shows Nancy and her horses as well as some of the outdoor sculptures that I have made and dotted around the land. Nancy and I are great fans of the poet David Whyte. I have included three sets of pictures from trips we took with him in the Lake District of England, Tuscany, and County Claire, Ireland.
